Little Einstein's Rocket Cake

Little Einstein's Rocket Cake

I started this Little Einstein's rocket cake by baking and icing the blue 9 inch round cake base. Next, I placed an oval cake on the base for Rocket's body and used a glass Pyrex bowl to make the domed cabin. The rockets were made using 2 Wilton heating cores.

I iced Rocket using tips 16, 3 and 5. I started by decorating where the rockets would go and then attached them using toothpicks. Then I made the headlights and center of rockets using tip 5 and outlined them in blue with tip 16.

Next, I added the windshield by outlining it with tip 3 and then filling it in with tip 16. The rest of rocket was covered using tip 16.

I colored the stick of a red sucker red using a Sharpie for Rocket's antenna and placed it in an icing mound made with tip 5.

Lastly, I added a white shell border to the base cake using tip 21.
