Mad Hatter's Tea Party Cake

Mad Hatter's Tea Party Cake

For this tea party cake, the teapot was made by putting a royal icing glazed round shaped cupcake on top and decorating it with sugarpaste large dots. The rest of the cake (vanilla) was baked in a round shaped bowl and then iced/piped with green butter icing and same dots added for effect.

The handle and spout where then added and these were made beforehand from sugarpaste so they can stay upright. The teacups were the same round cupcakes used, covered with royal icing with the dots around the rim and then sugarpaste handles added to finish it off.

The white icing on top was a thinner consistency of butter icing so that it would resemble froth.
