Pillow Cake

To make this pillow cake, I made a red velvet cake in two square 8 inch pans. Froze it and then took it out to carve into a pillow shape. Filled with butter cream filling and when crusted put a blue green fondant over it.

I used a daisy heart mat for the pattern on it. Made my fringe and flowers with fondant and little pearls around the bottom border on the butter cream shells.

Cut lines in it for the quilting look and made little buttons with fondant. I rolled them and then mashed them flat.

Finished with a pearl luster dust all over the cake and pearls a little tiara from Walmart on the top. Nancy of Rialto, CA
