Pink Tea Pot Cake

Pink Tea Pot Cake

For this tea pot cake, I used a spice cake mix and baked it in a ball pan. Also used a tuna can for a little of the batter. When done I cut the bottom of one of the ball cakes and saved it for the tippy top. I trimmed the other ball pan cake to fit on top of the first one.

I put buttercream frosting in the middle and frosted the whole round cake. but I had trimmed the top of it also.

I then made some fondant and marbled it with pink color. Covered the ball with the fondant. I put the tuna can cake and the cut off top together with frosting and covered it with fondant.

I then joined the top to the bottom, put fondant around the joining lid and pot. I made some flowers and circles with fondant and attached it to the finished cake and put the handle and spout on and it was fondant also.

I used left over butter cream to decorate the bottom of the tea pot and made a tea bag with fondant.. Wow! hope all can understand this...Nancy
