Purse and Shoe Cake

Purse and Shoe Cake

This purse and shoe cake was a chocolate cake baked in a 9 x 12 pan. Cut into thirds, four inches each. Filled and stacked together. I then put straws in three places to hold together. Froze and then sculpted into a purse.

I made the shoe a week ahead of time with fondant, had a little trouble making the shoe, I made about three and they didn't dry well.

I put this one in front of a fan to dry. Thanks to Kelly for her idea...after the sculpting I frosted with buttercream and then the fondant that I use a flower mat to press out the pattern.

Made my decors for the purse and then a red rose with fondant. Not perfect, but fun. Nancy of CA
