Tea Party Cake

Tea Party Cake

I made this tea party cake for one of my friends little girls, she wanted to have a tea party birthday party. I made the tea pot using the Wilton's ball pan. I made the tea cups out of cupcakes.

I used a buttercream icing for the teapot and tea cups. For the teapot I made the handle and spout out of fondant and inserted toothpicks on the ends so that I could stick them into the cake and hold them in to place. I also made the ball for the lid out of fondant.

For the tea cups I cut out the tops of the cupcakes and tinted the icing light brown to make it look like tea. I also made the handles out of fondant.

I then placed dollies under the teapot and teacups to dress them up a little bit and make it seem more like a tea party.
