What can I use to make fondant harden?

by Keren

I'm new to fondant, and would like to make a ribbon out of it. I don't know what to add so that it keeps it's shape.

hardening fondant

Hi, I always add CMC/tylo powder to fondant to make it harden. Add 2-3 teaspoons to 1 pound of fondant.
e.g. 1 1/2 tsp to 1/2 lb.
Hope this helps.
