How to Make Graduation Cakes

Easy directions for making these graduation cakes:

graduation cakes

These two sheet cakes together are a great idea of cakes to make for a graduation. The first one is congratulating the graduate and the second is wishing the graduate good luck at their new school.
Bake a sheet cake the size that you need. Ice the cake with white icing using a cake spatula and making sure the cake is nice and smooth.

Let it set for about 15-20 minutes. Use round tip, size #5 and your school color and draw the school mascot on the right hand side (in this case a bulldog).

Now write congratulations on the cake and the graduate’s name on the other side of the cake top.

Use your white icing and star tip, size #18 and make a shell border on the top and bottom edges of the sides of the cake. If you prefer, you could also use the school color for the shell border.

Graduation Cakes The second cake below is made in the same manner, except the mascot is changed to the mascot of the college or university that the graduate will be attending. The colors are also the colors of the new college or university.

In the example shown, the team was the rockets. On the right hand side, write your message. Instead of saying Congratulation, say “Good Luck (name of graduate) at (name of new school).
