Cars Themed Birthday Cake

This Cars themed birthday cake was made by my husband and myself. I made the cake which was a white cake with lemon filling and whipped frosting. Everything on the cake is edible, with the exception of the cars.

For the road around the outside it is oreo cookies crushed. The Cozy Cone is an ice cream cone piped with frosting, Luigi's Tire Shop are mini oreos, Sarge's Place is two regular sized doughnuts that were trimmed at the bottom and then frosted to look like a military hut.

The hippy shack is pretzels that holds up fruit roll ups for the tent, and the Crew Chief stand is a Hostess cup cake. My husband doesn't have much confidence in himself, so hopefully if he was to win this might make him see how much talent he really does have. Thank you for taking the time to see his wonderful work. This birthday cake was actually made for my son's fourth birthday. My son absolutely loved it! He was so excited when he saw it for the first time. There was a lot of thought put into this cake, and I couldn't have asked for anything more.
