Ladybug Cake

Bake two round cakes in the size you would normally need for a two-layer cake. Place the first cake on a board or cake plate and frost with chocolate icing.

Cut the second cake in half and place each half on an identically-shaped piece of cardboard - this will keep it from crumbling.

Carefully position the two halves on top of the first cake so that they look like partially spread wings.

Frost the wings in red, and place chocolate cookie halves as dots.

Dot white icing or cookie cream as eyes, and surround the ladybug with green icing stars for grass.

Great cake and I like the idea of using the cookies as the dots for the ladybug! Thanks for the great instructions too.
