Monster Truck Arena Birthday Cake

To make this monster truck arena birthday cake, I started with a regular chocolate cake mix (9 X 13 size). I made the cake and iced with chocolate icing (you could use store bought or homemade). I used a cardboard box from a case of pop and lined it with foil.

I then printed a checkerboard pattern from the computer and taped it along the outside of the box. I place the cars and trucks on the cake and placed a couple of oreo cookies at two corners for stacks of tires. I then drizzled chocolate icing all over the vehicles to give them that muddy look.

Then I crushed up more oreo cookies (minus the creamy middle) and graham crackers and sprinkled it all over the cake and around the edges so that no foil would be showing.

Then I took the remaining oreo cookies and lined them all along the edge of the cake for a "tire" border.
