Pirate Treasure Cake

Pirate Treasure Cake

To make this pirate treasure cake, I used a sheet cake and frosted the entire cake with white butter cream, on the diagonal I applied crushed Nilla wafer cookies with some sugar in the raw for some dimension for the sand.

I dyed piping gel blue for the water and before I applied it to the cake. I made waves in the white icing with a spatula for a 3-D effect.

I carved a little well into the sand for the treasure chest candle then added some figurines.

WHAT A GREAT IDEA, I BOUGHT SOME LITTLE PIRATES AT THE 99 CENT STORE BUT HAVENT USED THEM YET FOR A CAKE. I GUESS I HAVE TO TRY SOMETHING LIKE THAT. I PICK UP LITTLE THINGS TO PUT ON CAKES BUT NEVER USE THEM. I GUESS ONE DAY I WILL. THAT IS CUTE, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. NANCY OF CA
