Pink Dinosaur Cake

Pink Dinosaur Cake

To make this dinosaur cake, I made a 9" x 13" cake for the base. Cook and cool according to directions. I also made an oval cake approximately the same size. Again, cook and cool. Oh, I also used a medium sized egg shaped muffin pan for the head.

I drew my own pattern from paper and cut the oval cake into pieces to form the dinosaur.

I used buttercream in purple for the base cake and pink for the dinosaur.

I used several skewers in the body of the dinosaur so it would travel in the car.

After I iced the dinosaur and let dry a bit, I smoothed it with a Viva paper towel.

I added fondant toes, nose and eyes.
The mouth was black buttercream.
