Easy instructions for making this Hello Kitty cake:

Bake a two layer round cake in the size that you will need. Ice the sides with white icing and a cake spatula.

Next, with the white icing and round tip, size #5, draw kitty outline, bow and strip lines on the cake top. With the same white icing and star tip, size #18, fill in the kitty face. Next use pink icing and star tip, size #18 and fill in the bow. Fill in the pink stripes next with the same size tip.

The fill in the green stripes with green icing and star tip, size #18.

Next fill in the orange stripes with orange icing and star tip, size #18.

Finally fill in the blue stripes with blue icing and star tip, size #18. Refer to the above picture of the Hello Kitty cake for the stripe color order.

Next with white icing and round tip, size #5, outline the pink bow .

Use black icing and round tip, size #5 and pipe two black dots for eyes and put whisker lines on each side of the cat face.

Use the orange icing and star tip, size #18 and put a nose on the cat’s face.

Next use your white icing and star tip, size #18 and make a shell border on the top and bottom edges of the sides of the cake.

Using pink icing and round tip, size #5, write your message on the front side of the cake or on the cake board.

Finally use white icing and round tip, size #4 or #5 and write Hello Kitty right under the bottom face of the cat.
