How to Make Teddy Bear Cakes



 


Easy instructions for making teddy bear cakes:

Bake a sheet cake the size that you will need. With an icing filled bag and round tip, size #5, draw the teddy bear on the cake referring to the picture above.

The outside edge of the bears legs and feet are along the edge of the cake. The party of the arm that goes over the edge of the cake is made from pieces of the cake that you cut away from the outline.

With pink icing and star tip, size #18, do the inside of the ears, tongue and bow. With black icing and star tip, size #18, fill in the nose and the eyes. With tan icing and star tip, size #18, do the muzzle of the bear.

Next, use brown icing and star tip, size #18 and cover the rest of the bear.

With your pink icing and round tip, size #5, outline the ears, bows and tongue. Next with brown icing and round tip, size #5, outline the bear. Refer to the picture for where to outline.

Finally to finish the bear, use black icing and round tip, size #5 and outline the eyes and the nose. Next put mouth lines below the nose and then put stitches on the face, arms and feet.

When making the teddy bear cake for a boy, change the pink icing to blue icing.

Another way you can make a teddy bear cake is to use this teddy bear cake pan. Using this cake pan will give you the teddy bear shape. You can then decorate it as you wish or like the above teddy bear.
